FAQ's

1. How do I apply for a job?
   
   Applying for a job is simple. First, signup by clicking the signup button to the left of your screen. Then you will login using your email and password used when signing up. You will "click here" to go to your employee panel. Click on update profile and fill in as many fields as possible and click save. Click on the Job Listings tab from the menu, choose the category, click on job details and hit the "apply for job" button at the bottom of the screen, and then click "post profile". You have now applied for a job. You may apply for multiple jobs using the same profile.
   
   
2. How will I be notified of an upcoming job?
   
   If you have been requested by a business to represent them, we will send an email and/or contact by phone at least one week in advance of proposed shoot date to confirm your availability. Shoot times are usually scheduled after 10 a.m. Showing up for a shoot on time and in appropriate dress is an absolute requirement and reliability will earn a promotion in our system.
   
   
3. What types of businesses purchase commercials?
   
   Any business can benefit from a commercial. We serve all businesses because we are a business directory, so you may be doing commercials for a restaurant, a general contractor, a beauty salon, an insurance agency, a law firm, a financial institution, a clothing store or any other type of business.
   
   
4. Is there an opportunity for full-time work?
   
   Not at this time. We are launching a new website, CaliFindIt, which is merging with a nationwide directory next year. It is possible that we will be able to offer some people full-time work as we continue to grow larger. Currently everything will be contract only.
   
   
5. Is there an opportunity to earn more per hour?
   
   Yes, the compensation will be based on demand for an actor. Initially, everyone coming into our system will be compensated at $50 per hour. If the demand for an actor increases or if a special talent is required, compensation could range up to $500 per hour.
   
   
6. Where are these commercials seen?
   
   We are a business directory that offers online advertising to all businesses nationwide. One of the services we provide is high quality commercials that can be placed on their own website or blog and can also be distributed throughout the Internet in order to generate website traffic. So, your commercial can be seen on any number of video sites such as You Tube as well as personal websites and blogs. Additionally, we may provide video training for employees and other video content for businesses.
   
   
7. What attire am I required to have?
   
   The required attire will range from business casual to a business suit. You will be notified at the time of booking what attire is requested. You will be able to wear attire that is already owned, you won't be required to purchase new clothing. If a special wardrobe is required it will be provided for you.
   
   
8. Why can't I upload my audio or video file?
   
   If you are having problems uploading your audio or video file, please be sure to provide links to your work in the sample work fields.
   
   
9. Will my personal information be sold?
   
   We will never sell or transfer your information to any 3rd party. Your information is confidential and will only be seen and used by our company.
   
   
10. Will I be paid royalties each time the commercial is viewed?
    
    No. Unlike television commercials, Internet commercials do not pay royalties. This is because once a commercial is posted on a site it is there forever and there is no need for the business to continue to purchase airtime.
    
    
11. How will I be paid?
    
    We pay cash at the end of every job. If you are shooting in the studio you will be paid the same day. If you are traveling in the Southern California area, we will pay for gas + mileage + daily pay when the job is complete. Any hotels or airfare will be reserved and paid by CaliFindIt directly. Per Diems will be paid in advance.
